Add me to the very long list of people who loved the old UI, and hate the new one.
No more way to see whether a given movie is available in 4k, HD or SD when streaming!!!
No more ‘favorites’ in terms of which streaming services I have or am interested in?
I would consider VIP as a relatively new user, but no way I would do that now. And more than likely I’ll just look for another service for this type of information.

The new UI is exhausting. It’s hardly aesthetically pleasing on top of making tracking progress much more difficult. I second the growing sentiment to bring back the old UI.

I’ve been a member here since 2012, exclusively using the desktop version.
For the past year, I’ve been using version 2 from my Favorites.
Now, with version 3, I’ve tried using it for a few days. But the UI/UX has been frustrating and counterintuitive; worst of all, it’s oversimplified. Access to a lot of information is no longer available.
Like most people here, I suggest listening to the community and bringing back version 2 or something very similar. I greatly appreciate the developers’ work over the years, and I hope the platform changes for the better and survives.

New version is broken mess on desktop. You cannot see episodes of long seasons.. I cannot scroll sideways with my mouse, using the middle click, it lets me move one square.. not usable.
Impossible to check into something, unless the other show has finished fully. Seems dumb.. people do not sit there watching the credits. Just allowing someone to check in a few mins before the previous ends, would fix this (like you had it before).
Discovery is missing half of its features. The new way to browse is like you took the usability 101 and shat on it and then did the opposite..
Just give us v2 back.
Everyone hates this.
However many of us are also Devs.. and are currently building alternatives.
Its a shame trakt hates its own users.

instead of middle click with the mouse, hold shift then use the mouse wheel. i know it’s not ideal but it might work better if the middle click scroll isn’t working for you
Almost seems like this is what they desire: to become the backend and have others deal with creating a usable interface for our data.

LIke everyone has said, not only is this new UI a hard-to-use mess, basic features are missing. I just tried to add a title to my library and cannot find a button to add it. I had to really hunt to find the link to my library, but it just displays this error: “There is nothing in this list yet.” Please tell me you didn’t delete my library with thousands of titles, each with lots of details, in it.
Also, as others have said, just bring back v2 until you can get v3 working. v3 just feels like a prototype that hasn’t been tested with users and certainly isn’t finished and ready to be used by everyone.

Small friendly ADVICE for people here
I went through something like this many many times. Let me tell you one thing:
They will NEVER EVER back down and do what people here are asking
Couple first times this happend with other sites/services i always tried to help, be part of community, wait for promises, hoped for the best, actually believed the shit people say and its always the same over and over. They tell us some story about how this is good for users, how this is better because of some made up number, that features will come back no worries, etc. etc.
Never have i ever seen things come back better than before when this happens. Never. So just FYI so people are not dissapointed after waiting months for things to improve. Do yourself a favour and if you dont like the new direction then move on. Im already in process of moving on from this hot mess

your library is still in tact and since you’re still vip you can access the old site to add or remove items from your library but currently in the new site there is no library interface other than viewing your library
It sucks how much you’re right, because this was such a good site to use until this mess of a UI update. May I ask what other options might be available? I cannot keep using this site with this UI but still want to keep track of things I watch.

How can I still access the old site? I had been using Trakt Web: Home , but now that’s redirecting to the new site at https://app.trakt.tv
Is there any app, iPhone and PC, that compares with the old Trakt version? I am so frustrated with what they are doing to screw up Trakt I’ve been using and loving for years. Now, as ahmed365 refers to, I am frustrated for all the same reasons he is, plus the fact that you can no longer list your owned digital movies/shows in the Library/Collection. Yeah, they say that is under development, but I have no faith it will work the same or better as the old version of Trakt. I have tried Simkl and Rippple, but that are very lacking in all of the new and the old versions of Trakt.

Sometimes you can get back to it by logging out and signing back in.
Or by going to https://trakt.tv/signin
And occasionally it seems to get reenabled after visiting the forums here.
There’s no real rhyme or reason from what I can tell.
It’s infuriating to put it mildly how many hoops you have to jump through to get to it.
Makes no sense to me either how something that existed and worked fine is “under development” yet here we are. I’m guessing maybe it’s because they wish to hide the Library function behind the VIP paywall and can’t figure out how to accomplish that. Or whatever they’re using to vibe code isn’t coming up with a workable solution.
