Unable to add new entries to my Collection/Library?

Hey, I am wondering why Trakt has gotten so buggy and weird over the last few months. One major problem for me is being unable to add new entries to my Library. The Trakt Android app does not have a button to add new entries at all and the new webpage doesn’t either. The only solution is to use the old trakt.tv webpage for mobile. On desktop this is not possible, as I’ll be redirected to the new one.

I am also unable to search for movies within my Library making it really annoying to check wether I’ve collected a movie or not. Please explain…

Here you can see that there is no search button in the Android app:

Where is the add to Library button here?

Here everything is fine with search button and being able to add entries:

On the new interface neither a search button or a add to collection button:

Additionally the search is completely buggy on the old website. I am unable to find “Lucy” or “Titanic” for example. And because the new website has a great search feature but no adding to Library feature I simply can’t add these two movies to my collection…

They’ve removed the option to manually add to your library in V3, they want the library to be for Plex only where you use their Plex Sync to automatically add to the library.

Plex is all they care about now (possible partnership maybe?), we had to fight to keep our physical media library but not be able to add to it. This is the future of Trakt

That’s sad, but explains things a bit. Not caring (from all the complaints can’t use ‘understanding’) about how people use it isn’t a good move imo. If it becomes Plex only it will be useless to me.

If they don’t fix being able to search and filter your own library by the time they force V3 on us, I’m gone, out of here, with my money.

Seems that my 11 year VIP streak is coming to an end because of this. I want to have the option to manage my collection manually (and easily see everywhere in Trakt if I have something in my collection, like in the calendar). The recent price increase was OK for me (as long as the features were ok-ish), but with V3 (annoying interface) and missing library options it will drive me away.

Same here for me at this point. Very unfortunate I was so happy with the old trakt.

So was I. At least VIP had v2 for a longer period. Got forced on free with a bunch of issues (initially).

Well just great. Not all of us use Plex. I got rid of one software program cause trakt had a library feature. Now I might need to bring it back :weary_face:
