Disable multiple plays does not work?

I disabled multiple plays but still see them. What is the setting supposed to do? This occurred while using the official trakt plex sync webhook.

it wont remove previous plays that are already logged. did you just enable that setting or was it always enabled and you still had an episode logged multiple times?

It was enabled before I played the show. I had to play a part over because I missed a scene.

i know you said you’re using the trakt plex sync webhook, I’m unfamiliar with any of the syncing ways but is it the PlexTraktSync thing, the Plex Webhook, or are you using the native Plex Sync that Trakt implemented more recently? depending on which way its being processed could be a bug that is not respecting the settings and somehow overriding/bypassing that block.

Your suggestion didn’t do anything. Just tested another show and it duplicated. I use the official plex sync offered by trakt and just tried another scribbler. I got the same duplicates so the setting isn’t doing anything.

The webhook currently doesn’t check the “disable multiple plays” setting.
We’ll have a fix for this soon.

I had disable multiple plays setting on but somehow it got turned off. I don’t use webhook, any reason why?

Yeah.. I’ve been having issues with having multiple plays pulled during syncing for a while now.

  • Although from streaming services as opposed to Plex.
  • No idea why.

There is something you can try out to easily remove the multiple plays though.

There is a tool that searches for and removes multiple plays.

Located on the advanced settings tab.

It’s not perfect… And try to export your data beforehand just in case… But helps with removing the extra plays
