i’ve never expressed any issues with different opinions. actually, i’ve oftentimes even asked a lot of questions to better understand these opinions. but what has been stated here isn’t an opinion, it’s a ridiculous conspiracy theory
Probably, but it is plain weird there’s a number of people who are so pro V3, who’ve never watched anything, who all of a sudden came out of the woodwork, apparently love something that is pretty much universally not liked, tout the benefits of it and why it suits them so much better, yet they still never have any actual activity on it… in the one and only thread that remains open.
Pretty easy to see why some folks make up conspiracy theories in that scenario, no?
And I’ll readily admit the reverse happens too: people who suddenly registered here with no activity ever and alleged they were 10 year users of Trakt but apparently did nothing with it for 10 years.
most people also don’t use the forums. and actually the forums used to be VIP only so anyone not noticing the change may not join here for a while. there’s only like 0.01% of users here in the forums.
a number of people who are so pro V3, who’ve never watched anything, who all of a sudden came out of the woodwork
Has there really been a number of people?
And I’ll readily admit the reverse happens too: people who suddenly registered here with no activity ever and alleged they were 10 year users of Trakt but apparently did nothing with it for 10 years.
Yeah, but we don’t craft conspiracy theories out of that regardless…
Yes. But that will undoubtedly be something you’ll disagree with. ![]()
Anyways. This is a dead topic. It exists purely for the 6 users who love V3.
Yes. But that will undoubtedly be something you’ll disagree with.
No, if you show me, I won’t disagree
I’d believe that would constitute a “personal attack” on those people and not my place to point them out.
But similar to some others have done, it’s really not that complicated to click on a person’s profile and view their join date and activity. People draw their own conclusion. Many did in this thread.
Like I said, it’s not just in this topic here. It was apparent when Trakt limited lists for non-VIPs too. There’s often an influx of people for controversial topics. And there have been a number in the threads about V3.
Of course quite a few have miraculously set their profiles to “private” all of a sudden which just adds to making it even more questionable imho along with their complete inactivity since the original post.
that’s all fine to speculate on but we’ll never have confirmation on who they are of course. so it’s pointless wasted energy. for the one or two thinking i’m someone else, that’s what doesn’t make sense. i’ve been here for years
We’ve drifted a bit off-topic in the last few posts (myself included). So where are the moderators who normally close threads for this? Or are they keeping this one open on the hopes of more V3 lovers? They are clearly hard to find…
Well, let’s just leave it at that and hope for a good future for Trakt, an interest we all share. I got a bit too much invested in this as well, so I’ll close this topic for me now.
I’m new, precisely because I didn’t like V2, and I do like V3. I’m new, because V3 is new. I have thousands of episodes tracked now that I imported my TVTime data, but chronologically, yeah, I’m a very new user.
universally not liked
except..it’s not universal, is it?
It is. Except like 2-3 people…
except that contradicts the definition of universal, and angry people are understandably always louder than a random new user…to have any reason to write something here as a new user, you gave to first find out about v2, no wonder only a few of them post about it here
