# Imdb Import not working correctly

#### **IMDb Watchlist import incorrectly added items to History instead of Watchlist**

I am having an issue importing my IMDb Watchlist into Trakt.

Details:

- Trakt account: Free
- Import method: Trakt built-in importer
- Selected option: **IMDb → Watchlist**
- Source file: IMDb **Watchlist.csv** exported directly from IMDb
- Export date: approximately 9 days before import
- Import date: **July 8**
- IMDb Watchlist size: **102 entries**

The import completed, but the result was incorrect:

- Trakt reported **“204 items imported”**
- My Trakt Watchlist remains completely empty
- All 102 titles were added to my **History** instead
- Each History entry shows the import date/time
- Each title has the options **“Delete from History”** and **“Add to Watchlist”** , confirming they were not added to the Watchlist
- There are no duplicate History entries

The CSV header is the standard IMDb Watchlist format:  
Position, Const, Created, Modified, Description, Title, Original Title, URL, Title Type, IMDb Rating, Runtime (mins), Year, Genres, Num Votes, Release Date, Directors, Your Rating, Date Rated

It appears the importer is treating the IMDb Watchlist as History and is also reporting twice the actual number of imported titles (204 instead of 102).

Don’t think you quite understood their problem, they imported a watchlist, and the items landed in their Trakt history

Maybe opening an issue on GitHub can get you more attention…but it’s difficult, it’s just a small team with a ton of users and issues
