# Search Options

Use the Trakt search to help find what you’re looking for. Initiate a search by using the search icon.

By default it will search _Media_, but you can choose a more specific type too. If you know the specific ID from another site, that’s supported too, you just need to use the ID in the search field.  
Before you type anything, you will see the most popular recent searches.

Search results match your query terms with several fields including _title_, _alternate titles_, _translated titles_ and _ID_s.
