Hello, Myself and millions of other users have moved to Trakt, and I would like to share a few suggestions that I hope will be taken into consideration:
- Why is the website layout and functionality different from the app? The app does not display my Favorites list on my profile, and I cannot search for users or add them. The app should offer the most complete and user-friendly experience, with an interface that includes all essential features.
- All lists in the app should be available on the profile page, including Shows, Movies, Favorites, and Progress. There should also be an option to hide any of these lists from the profile.
- The way TV shows and movies are tracked is not user-friendly. When I open a TV show page, the seasons and episodes should appear first. Why are reviews, cast members, and streaming networks placed at the top, while the most important feature (tracking episodes) is placed at the very bottom of the page?
- The option to manually enter viewing dates is excellent, but it would be even better if dates could be entered using copy and paste.
- Watched episodes are currently marked with a small grey checkmark. It would be much clearer to use a green checkmark or another more noticeable indicator. The grey checkmark blends into the interface and is difficult to see.
- On the home page, even for free users, the monthly recap should be displayed more clearly and include the names of the shows and movies watched, rather than showing only statistics. At the very least, visitors to my profile should be able to see what I have recently watched.
- Even though I have not written anything in the “About Me” section, I found this strange sentence displayed on my profile when I opened the website: “This user is a mystery, shrouded in enigma… (or maybe just lazy? Who knows, this is the internet.)” …. Who decided to write this description about me? This is completely unacceptable. If the “About Me” section is empty, it should simply remain empty instead of displaying an insulting or sarcastic message.
- Every TV show and movie page should include a “Request an Edit” or “Report an Issue” option. This would make it easier for users to report missing episodes, episodes where a viewing date cannot be added, incorrect information, or any other issue that needs to be corrected.
- The “Drop show” option is not available for every TV show. I have stopped watching many shows, but there is no way to remove them from my Progress list.
- And it would be better to rename the “Drop show” list to “Stop Watching” and provide a dedicated list on the profile for shows that the user has stopped watching.
