Why are recommendations recommending things I have either started or dropped

Out of 10 Trending I am already watching 3 of them.

Out of 10 Popular I am already watching 4 and dropped 2 of them. So only 4 of them are useful.

Should watched or dropped not be included in these Recommendations?

Or at least make it an option in Settings.

It looks like the whole site’s philosophy from “users curating what they have seen” to “recommendation engine”, I’m assuming for monetary purposes ?

Home page is mostly recommendations now, “where to watch” is omnipresent, etc.

I’m assuming the level of recommendations will improve in the future as this seems to have become the main focus.

It’s be nice to have an honest confirmation of the vision for the site’s future through.
