I am trying to mark shows as watched that say it hasn’t aired yet, but I watched it. I get that you can’t watch a show hasn’t happened yet, but these shows are on the air and say they haven’t been.
has been out for for days yet I can’t mark it as watched.
“The series will air in four, one-hour episodes across two nights on ID: Monday, April 13, and Tuesday, April 14, starting at 9/8c. (The special will be followed by the formal Season 2 premiere of Hollywood Demons on Monday, April 20 at 9/8c.)”
I put in the updates at imdb, made changes at tvdb and tmdb. It should be set for those.
For tvmaze there were 6 episodes. I fixed the 4 and didn’t know how to delete so marked the name as unaired.
It isn’t just a one show issue. I’ve ran into this situation at least 4 times in the last 2 weeks. The show is out, but it is marked as a show that isn’t coming out until the future so I can’t mark it when I watch it. I understand that people don’t need to mark shows that haven’t aired yet, but since the system isn’t picking up a lot of shows until days or even weeks until after it’s aired then the system is failing.
I think you should allow us to mark shows as watched regard of the scheduled airtime. Who really cares if someone marks it as watched early anyway?
The status changed a day or so after I watched the shows and I was able to mark them, but the issue was that I couldn’t mark them when I watched them.
The Last Woodsman S3E01
Naked and Afraid Global Showdown says it doesn’t start until next week but there has already been S1E1 and an hour special the previous week that still wasn’t on there last night.
Homestead Rescue showed up 2 days after it aired last week.
Boyband Confidential E3 and E4 are both marked as aired now, but I couldn’t mark either of them when I watched them (which was days after they aired)
Naked and Afraid Global Showdown doesn’t have a special listed at TMDB. If it is an actual special, it just need to be added there.
The date at TMDB didn’t really have a source, so I changed it to May 17, since it seems it premiered at Discovery Channel in that date. So the data at TMDB wasn’t following their rules.
The new date should show up correctly in a few hours.
The most recent episode of Homestead Rescue has the release date May 12 both at Trakt and at TMDB. It was added there at May 14, so the issue seems to be that TMDB didn’t had the data, so we couldn’t list the episode because of that.
As for Boyband Confidential, the current release dates are April 14, so they seem to be correct now. It’s hard to check why you couldn’t mark it as watched when it released in this case, but the release date of episode 3 changed a lot at TMDB since that date.
The issue with the 3 shows you mentioned, seem to be related to wrong data at TMDB.
We don’t want to allow users to mark items as watched before the release because a lot of people just add wrong data when they can. However, actual early streaming releases should be supported, and that’s why we are testing getting the dates from another database when that happens.
