In Germany, the second season of StarTrek: Short Treks has never aired until now. But on September 8, they will be available in Germany for the first time on Paramount+.
But i would not see that release date in the calendar.
I saw those episodes in the past, when they aired in the US, but couldn’t watch them at that time.
This is very frustrating.
I would love if there was some option to configure which countries release dates should be shown in calendar. Users who are using a VPN will just select USA as an additional country, and i would only select Germany there. Some users may also want to select Germany and USA for example.
The data is available in IMDB (as far as i could see) so it would be a great addition to use this data then.
This is a good idea, but the data isn’t available in TMDB. We can get limited IMDb info, but I don’t believe we can get release dates without api access. I will add this to my long term task list since I do like the idea in general.
Thanks for bumping, well it worked, a few have voted for it including myself. It’s a great idea and Justin has mentioned he has added this to his list.
I believe this is related… I’ve just encountered a similar issue. A movie called In the Lost Lands was supposedly released on December 5, but it turns out that that was just in Brazil. Since I don’t live in Brazil, let alone speak Brazilian Portuguese or Spanish, I don’t care about that release date. The US (or English-language) release date is relevant to me.
Trakt lists the three release dates from TMDB, so the data has already been ingested. Strangely enough, no one other than TMDB even lists the Brazilian date.
