It must be a tremendous undertaking to have links to streaming services on iOS and Android. Great job there!
One thing I’m also interested, though, having my own big Plex Library or my fairly big BluRay collection shown there as well.
I’m guessing it’s a pretty tough job to keep track of each individual user’s library, but one idea I have to have a “Smart List” similar to Watchlist, which I can update manually, but recognized as a “Streaming Service” library in the interfaces so I would know I have that movie somewhere.
The collection is designed for items you own, or have in a media center. I am exploring Plex specifically, to see about a deeper integration between your Plex library and Trakt Collection.
I think what he’s asking is, to have your own personal “collection” show up as a “service” in the list that comes from Just Watch…for example, if he owns all the Twilight movies and he’s manually listed them in his Collection, his “collection” list would show up in the list of available options to watch. So basically, it would show up here:
That would indeed be very nice. I use Jellyfin and my Trakt collection pretty much reflects that 1:1. Having it show up under shows/movies/episodes as available to “watch now” thanks to my collection, like a streaming service, akin to what Terry described would be amazing indeed!
But having a custom artwork would be nice too. Different artwork for Jellyfin, Plex, etc compared to a generic “Collection” artwork.
I think it would probably be easier to list the collection as a streaming service, no? Rather than having to integrate with Plex, Jellyfin, etc separately using APIs or addons (and having to keep them updated constantly, making sure they don’t break, etc)?
