3/30/26 episode is missing.
@Sonply looks like this episode was added 3/15 on tmdb, but it hasn’t been able to get imported into trakt for some reason. i don’t follow the show, but checked out on tmdb and tried to refresh and didn’t seem to bring it in.
Thanks Bub. I asked about another show and tvdb was mentioned as the source. That could be the reason.
That’s not the case here. American Idol 2018 is being pulled from TMDB not tvdb.

I’ve sent a report a week ago about this and it hasn’t been fixed. TMDB has a month of episodes that aren’t on trakt yet.
From what I’ve been told, Trakt introduced a requirement for IMDB or TVDB ID on the TMDB entry. They say this is to prevent duplicates but there are more missing so it’s not worth it.
The problem is TMDB and their nonsense rules. Well for American Idol, everywhere treats it as a single show that was on hiatus so current season is 24 (single show). TMDB has it split into 2 separate shows and does not allow duplicate IDs (can’t have ID for same show when they split it). Well IMDB and TVDB only have a single ID and TMDB says ABC has it as season 9 so they can’t do anything.
If Trakt didn’t have the requirement, then things would work. That’s why the following was created.
Is the IMDB ID requirement for the full series or for individual episodes? Because individual episodes could certainly have their IMDB IDs added, such as:

If it’s for the full series, then why were the episodes updating until March and then stopped?
This is all TMDB since Trakt has the requirement. My understanding is that there cannot be a duplicate ID anywhere and it’s already set on the old show. If there is an option that’s not locked, sure. But then you have to remove it to apply to the next episode and what you remove disappears.
I understand when you’re talking show level imdb IDs, but as I said above, there are also episode-level IMDB IDs, which would not have duplicates since the new episodes are not listed on the old version of the show

I didn’t realize that. You could always try that, but it would have to be one by one. I’m not entirely sure though.
@Sonply I noticed on other posts about shows TVDB could be used. Would changing American Idol from TMDB to TVDB be a possibility?
