I’m using my saved filter settings and get results that are overwhelmingly wrong.
It seems currently filtering by video streaming service is simply not working. If I search for content on HBO, I see movies like Oppenheimer, Sinners, The Substance, Gladiator 2 or Alien Romulus.
And I get the same results when I try to filter content on Prime.
I noticed that too. I usually have “All Favorites” selected in my filters, but about ~2 weeks ago, a lot of additional movies (that aren’t available on my streaming services) suddenly started showing up in the results. For now, the option “Only display icons if streaming on your favorite services.” helps identify which titles are available.
I noticed the same issue. After some quick tests it seems like the filtering by “available to watch on” is broken just for movies (not shows) with many of the streaming services. Trying to filter by HBO Max, Apple TV, or Amazon Prime Video would still include some movies not available on those services, but when I tried with Peacock Premium that one seemed to work.
I can confirm, it seems that filter remains (more) functional depending on which streaming service you pick.
And the results aren’t always showing the same false results. While filtering Netflix, HBO or Prime lead to many identical movies wrongly listed as available, Disney shows fewer and different mistakes.
If I search movies available on German free public TV, the filter seems to work.
Same, it’s that one big reason why I began paying years ago.
Maybe they remain silent about it to prepare us for these features getting dropped anyway when they finally force us on v3 too.
If they are especially “funny”, they could then suggest that this feature already didn’t exist for v2 either. So no loss, eh?
