Can VIPs remove this?

What’s the purpose of this Recently Aired section showing in the TV Show overview? Is this really helpful for anybody?

Why would I want to see an image of the last episode of a show I wanna START watching??

Why would you show an image of the first episode along side an image of the last???

Can I remove it? I don’t mind becoming a VIP if I can remove this.

This is beneficial so you can see what’s the newest episode that has been released vs where you currently left off.

Based from what you took a screenshot of, I can easily tell 2x8 was the season finale and latest episode aired and you haven’t started watching ROP yet.

Not sure why it bothers you though. It’s kinda nice to see how far along you are vs how much longer until you’re caught up.

And what Terry posted, I can tell he’s one episode behind from being caught up.

Like I said, I don’t see the point of them showing me an image of the last episode of a show I haven’t even started! or at any point for that matter, I don’t wanna see a picture of the last episode ever. Why would anyone want that??

If the purpose is to know how far am I from finishing it I have the Progress section for that, but once I started it. The show is not even in my watchlist, I’m just taking a look, and boom I see a screenshot of the finale. Come on.

But isn’t this what the Progress section is for?
If I’m just taking a look, and it’s not even on my watchlist, why would they show people an image of the finale episode?? Insane!

Well if you check settings from the Trakt website, you can blur all that out for episodes you haven’t watched yet. which i do for episode images, episode titles, etc.

You can easily hide unwatched episodes’ title, screenshot or even overviews on settings.

https://trakt.tv/settings#spoilers

For example, in my case, I hide screenshots and blur overviews, I don’t mind about the titles. What happens is, if I haven’t watched an episode, all website hides it’s screenshot, and shows instead the season background (usually no spoilers there). At any point will I see the screenshot until I definitely watch the episode itself. In your case, you can also hide the title, if you prefer that way.

How I have it:

EDIT: Sorry, LoganWolverineX just said the same thing.

That doesn’t fix this problem, because that affects other areas, for example the up next section on Dashboard. Which displays an image of the next episode to watch.

The problem is them showing images of final episodes so prominently in the show page.

This recently aired section should at least at the bottom of TV show pages.

I guess I will have to ignore it, now that i know there’s spoilers right in the Show Page. But not before I saw a scene of the finale of a couple shows. Terrible idea.

There is a setting to hide spoilers globally.

Apparently OP doesn’t want it hidden for up next but wants it hidden everywhere else. :person_shrugging:t2:

Yeah, but that’s not actually the problem with that section.
There’s no reason to show captions of a show finale so prominently on the show page. If the idea was to let people know how far ahead is the show progressing they can do that without including the captions. Also the progress section covers this need!
I need to sacrifice the captions of my next episodes on Up Next, just to hide them in this nonsense Recently Aired section.
Maybe the section is not nonsense, but where it’s placed is nonsense.

Actually what I want is to remove this Recently Aired section, or move it down. I’m not looking to hide captions.

? I don’t see that view, are you website or app(iOS). ??

It’s web only when you visit a tv show and is very convenient.

You can also see it on mobile if you use the browser instead of app.

It’s not conveniant too see a picture of the last episode of a show you’re interested in start watching

On the Webpage

it’s true not everyting is included in the app yet, but like what functions are missing for you?

I use the website mainly too. I only really use the app when I went to the movies and log the movie right away when in the theatre :stuck_out_tongue:

Or if I want to look something up from a show or movie when I’m not on my laptop.

Wouldn’t this be something that is relatively easy to accomplish using something like uBlock Origin using element picker or your own filters?

Because while it seems to be something you dislike, I’d assume there’s plenty of others like myself who do like it as currently configured. It’s far easier for one person to adapt something for their personal preference than it would be to make others jump through hoops to try and re-add something.
