Change in Layout?

Earlier, when looking up movies, the search bar was on the left side of the screen. It suddenly switched to where the posters now fill the entire screen with the only search bar option available at the top of the screen. After a cursory look, I didn’t see any way to change it back.

Do you mean like that?

You probably pressed ‘H’ on your keyboard. If you press it again, it will go back to normal. There is also a little icon in the corner to make the search bar appear again:
