Just wondering if there is a point in “Continue Watching” in the Movies tab.
No, because it doesn’t work that way. When you watch a TV show it will not show up until you completely watch an episode. Once an episode is watched, the remaining will show in continue watching. Since that’s not possible for movies, it’s either watched or not.
You may be referring to progress of the movie and that will depend on what you’re using to watch the movie (it’s on that side even if they use trakt for it).
Yes, I know all that, that’s why I’m pointing out the obvious. Shouldn’t they just remove that from the movies tab, since it’s useless?
Or maybe there is a use I’m not aware of…
That would require developers who can do proper ui/ux. The interface is a one size fits all approach with zero customization.
So here’s something odd/new. I started a movie using an addon and stopped 15 minutes in. It is actually showing up under continue watching. It’s possible they finally implemented it. Give it a try again if what you’re using uses trakt for progress.
Ok, now that’s actually interesting. Not really for me cause I don’t use any add-ons but at least, it shows that it has a purpose.
Hi,
Yes, like @RoiDesRois mentioned, this section uses scrobbled data and if you pause a movie in a service that can sync your data, it will show up there to remind you to continue watching it.
Also, if the user doesn’t want to continue watching it, they can drop that movie and it will disappear.
