Dropped season(s) of a show does not carry over to v3

Short description of the issue

  • I have a few shows where I have dropped some seasons. both v2 and v3 say Ive got 155 left, but when I go to progress on v2 it correctly says 10 episodes left.

  • Im pretty sure it didnt used to be like this, it used to only show seasons/episodes that hadnt been dropped

  • Unsure if this is even possible to do in v3. V2 go to progress, view seasons, drop season. Go to continue watching, show does not have seasons dropped

the way support has explained it is as you mark the next episode you watch that is past those episodes you skipped, it will adjust the remaining episode count so you won’t need to explicitly drop the season. is it still showing that way after you’ve marked the next episode you want to watch?

Marking the next episode has watched has no impact, if thats what you meant?

WILTY has 183 episodes, according to trakt. I have watched a couple of seasons. I just marked those seasons as dropped so its only the latest season that hasnt been marked as dropped. After doing that, the number of episodes remaining went UP.

I have seen the first episode of the latest season. Continue watching has 182 episodes remaining. This doesnt make sense for 2 reasons, I have already seen 31 episodes so, even if dropping the show didnt work, it should still be less than 182 episodes remaining. But, I have dropped the rest of the seasons, so it should only season 19’s episodes which is 11 episodes long, so continue watching should be 10 episodes left.

that is odd then since it should still count the previously watched episodes. i found a post that seems talk about your similar issue. it seems to be a bug.

Season pages are no longer available in V3. The issue you’re reporting is one of the side effects of this decision that wasn’t considered (or simply ignored). As reported in the link posted above, the system they’ve implemented to try to address this issue is currently bugged.

The only hope is that when/if they will bring back season pages in some form, it will be possible to hide/drop seasons again, and this issue, along with several others, could be resolved.
