Hello. What’s error http 420? It appears when I try to add movies in my watchlist. It has been doing it for a while now. It means that I’m banned? I cannot contact the support in the app, and neither the support from the google play page of cinetrack app via email, it gives me error. Thanks for your responses
Pretty sure that’s too many requests and you’re being rate limited. Maybe check with the app you’re using.
How can I check? As I said I’m using cinetrack app, version 1.2.2, I even tried to log out and re-log in, but it doesn’t work. How to solve? Why I cannot contact the support?
That app doesn’t appear to have been updated since October 27, 2023. There’s been quite a few changes to Trakt since then. Particularly when it comes to the API which I’d assume is affecting it greatly.
Can’t comment on why you can’t contact the supporter but they do appear to have responded recently to some comments here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cinetrak.mobile&hl=en-US so I’d try seeking help there in the first instance. Although reading other comments many seem to have abandoned the app.
Already tried to contact the support, either via email (which gave me error and says “The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect. For more information, go to https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7720 [cinetrakapp.com 15.197.148.33: timed out] [cinetrakapp.com 3.33.130.190: timed out]”, and either via Google play store, leaving a review with some questions. But they did not respond. Is there a possibility that I have been banned? Trakt can ban users or this is not expected?
They responded today to someone’s question so they’re definitely active on their support I linked to above. Maybe try reposting over there.
Error 420 is indeed “Account Limit Exceeded” (ref) so in the case of your watchlist you’ve hit the 100 item limit for free accounts. You can check your account limits at https://trakt.tv/settings/advanced.
