I’m hoping you can clarify something regarding API app tokens.
It appears that API app tokens may no longer be available for free users, as I’m receiving authentication issues with my existing API usage. Could you confirm whether app tokens have been removed or restricted for free accounts?
If this change was intentional, would you consider allowing free users to have a single active app token? A limit of one token seems like a fair compromise — it would prevent abuse while still allowing personal projects, home automation, media dashboards, and other legitimate uses to continue working.
I’ve really appreciated having access to the Trakt API and would love to keep using it for personal projects without needing a paid plan purely for a single API integration.
