Hi Trakt team!
I’d love to share a few suggestions that I believe could make Trakt even better, especially for users who enjoy keeping their movies, TV shows, anime, and dramas properly organized.
1. A 10-Star Rating System
It would be great to have the option to display ratings using 10 stars instead of 5. I know Trakt already supports ratings from 1 to 10, but I’d love to see that reflected visually with 10 individual stars. Ideally, users could choose between a 5-star and a 10-star display without changing their existing ratings.
In addiction, setting to let the user choose the rating system they want to use. (5 stars/ 10 stars /100 points / thumbs up - thumbs down, etc..)
2. Hide Seasons from Show Progress / Continue Watching
I’d love an option to hide individual seasons from Show Progress or Continue Watching without marking them as watched or removing the entire show.
Sometimes there are seasons I don’t intend to watch, or I simply don’t want them constantly appearing in my Continue Watching section. Being able to hide specific seasons would make everything much cleaner and easier to manage.
3. Country of Origin and Language for Movies and TV Shows
It would be incredibly useful to have clearer country and language-of-origin information for both movies and TV shows, preferably with the ability to filter by country.
For example, I enjoy watching Korean dramas, Japanese dramas, Chinese dramas, anime, and content from many other countries. Being able to identify and organize titles by their country of origin would be a fantastic addition.
4. Ability to Mark Movies as Dropped
We can track our progress with TV shows, but I’d love a proper “Dropped” option for movies too.
Sometimes I start a movie and decide not to finish it because I’m simply not enjoying it. I’d still like to keep track of that without marking it as watched or leaving it in my Watchlist forever.
Having a dedicated Dropped status for movies would make personal tracking much more accurate.
5. Better List Sharing and Collaboration with Friends
I’d really love a simpler and more reliable way to share personal lists and collections with friends.
For example, I’d like my friends to be able to view my Watchlist, favourite lists, and other collections directly from my profile, with optional permissions to collaborate on specific lists.
I’ve tried the Collaborations feature, but unfortunately, it hasn’t worked properly for me. It would be amazing to have a more intuitive system where we could invite friends, share lists, and manage them together without unnecessary complications.
I think these improvements would make Trakt much more flexible, personal, and enjoyable for users who love organizing and tracking everything they watch.
