how can I bulk delete my entire collection?

someone has hacked into my account and added quite a bit of movies and TV shows. How can I bulk delete them all because it’s going to take too much time to go through each one and remove them from my collection.

Thanks for your help

You can delete your watched history, collection, and/or ratings by going to your advanced settings. Scroll down to “Delete Data”, then select whichever you’d like to delete.

First, select whether you’d like to delete episode, movies, or both (all history/collections/ratings).

You can then select all dates (entire history/collection/ratings) or a specific date range.

If you’ve selected a specific date range, you’ll then be able to choose that date range.

Remember that deleting your data is permanent and cannot be undone! We recommend first doing an export of your data, just in case!

After reading this, I think I’m more concerned with how Support didn’t even blink an eyelid to the Hacking claim?

What do you mean by hacking, someone got hold of the login credentials or some unknown literary hacked your account?

If the latter is the case, I would like to know if anyone’s else’s account is at risk?

It’s very unlikely that their account was actually hacked. We get many support requests similar to this and they always end up having a connected 3rd party app that automatically adds things to their collections. I can see on our end that this user has one of the more common culprits connected to their account, and that would be my next suggestion if the above solution didn’t work. There isn’t a risk to anyone’s account, and if there ever were, we of course would notify our users.

Would be good to mention that in the original answer though.

My first thought was an app going rogue too

I typically do, but I’ll be honest, I likely overlooked the hacked part and just read the subject when I answered this late last night

Yeah, I suspected as much, it’s the usual culprit these days, No one goes around hacking a single account on a website with limited personal data :joy:

Thanks for the reply though :+1:
