It (should) show up as the main action (where play/watch now is) if youâve got Plex Sync set up and itâs syncing items into your Trakt Library (previously Collection) so that we know itâs âin your plex libraryâ and therefore can offer that option as the main action.
I donât use plex sync myself and this is the only info I have right now; Plex Sync BETA, so Iâll have to see if someone else can point you to how that works, if necessary.
Thanks for the reply Tyson! Funnily enough I do have Plex set up and syncâing to Trakt. However, the only reason for that is to enable Plex to report any new items added to my library, which is stored on my NAS, to Trakt. I always use Infuse to watch as I prefer the layout.
So yes, if I long press the âwatch nowâ button, I do then get both Plex and Infuse options but at no point does Plex take over the button. It always defaults to the streaming service that the item is currently showing on, hence the ask for a settings option to default to either Plex/Insure if the item is showing as in my Trakt library.
So I checked what your Library is returning and it doesnât appear to include the âincluded in plexâ flag, so at least thereâs not a bug on the client side as far as I can tell. Considering you mentioned youâre syncing with Plex though, Iâm unsure if perhaps itâs something specific to your configuration (and a bug with setting that flag). Do your settings on the website seem to be similar to those shown in the original message of the Plex Beta thread?:
I know youâre saying having a setting would essentially solve it (for you), but it seems like a workaround rather than a solution, eg. Iâm not sure it really makes sense if it means even itemâs that you donât have access to would show up with an âOpen in Infuseâ action.
