How to link to Infuse using Trakt tvOS 1.7

I notice that 1.7 of the tvOS Trakt app should enable linking/playing from Infuse..

How is this enabled? All I seem to get is play now buttons to the streaming service and not to my Infuse app/library?

I have both Infuse 8.2.6 and Trakt 1.7 installed on my AppleTV

Thanks!

Ahh, I’ve just discovered the long press options via the play/watch now button.

Any chance there could be a setting to enable the default action? I would always want to have Infuse as my main library of choice…

Thanks!

It (should) show up as the main action (where play/watch now is) if you’ve got Plex Sync set up and it’s syncing items into your Trakt Library (previously Collection) so that we know it’s “in your plex library” and therefore can offer that option as the main action.

I don’t use plex sync myself and this is the only info I have right now; Plex Sync BETA, so I’ll have to see if someone else can point you to how that works, if necessary.

Thanks for the reply Tyson! Funnily enough I do have Plex set up and sync’ing to Trakt. However, the only reason for that is to enable Plex to report any new items added to my library, which is stored on my NAS, to Trakt. I always use Infuse to watch as I prefer the layout.

So yes, if I long press the “watch now” button, I do then get both Plex and Infuse options but at no point does Plex take over the button. It always defaults to the streaming service that the item is currently showing on, hence the ask for a settings option to default to either Plex/Insure if the item is showing as in my Trakt library.

So I checked what your Library is returning and it doesn’t appear to include the ‘included in plex’ flag, so at least there’s not a bug on the client side as far as I can tell. Considering you mentioned you’re syncing with Plex though, I’m unsure if perhaps it’s something specific to your configuration (and a bug with setting that flag). Do your settings on the website seem to be similar to those shown in the original message of the Plex Beta thread?:

I know you’re saying having a setting would essentially solve it (for you), but it seems like a workaround rather than a solution, eg. I’m not sure it really makes sense if it means even item’s that you don’t have access to would show up with an ‘Open in Infuse’ action.
