It would be great to make the “Up Next” widget be interactive so you can mark a show played using the widget.
So essentially be able to use this functionality in widget form so you don’t need to open to app every time if you have the up next widget.
Bumping this in case the developer notices and prioritizes it. There’s a glut of TV logging apps these days but almost no one has yet implemented interactive widgets. FilmNoir does it but the UX leaves much to be desired.
This would be an incredible feature.
While fixing some tinted widget issues I’ve added some initial support for this in a build that’s currently pending Apple TestFlight review, 2.2.1 (728), so it might take at least a few hours. For now it’ll add to history at the current date as I need to add extra logic in order to grab more users settings. Let me know if you have any feedback on it so far, etc.
Works really good!
Takes roughly 30 sec to be marked as watched in app
btw: can you tell me how to use the “User Setting” or what it stands for when editing the widget settings?!
Thx upfront
Could you clarify what you mean by this?
The ‘User Setting’ option is based on your dashboard setting:

Hmm, yesterday ist took roughly 30 seconds from marking it watched on the widget to show the purple “1 play” check in app. Testing it today it was almost instantly
Might’ve been just on my end…
Got it thanks
This should now be working as of 2.2.1 (729) with your correct button action (eg. adds ‘now’ unless your Watch button preference setting is set to release date) and has some error handling. Let me know if you run into any issues with it.
