Issue with "Start Watching" / Progress section showing completed shows

Short description of the issue

  • Hello,

    I am a new Trakt user and I’m having a small issue with my “Start Watching” (Progress) dashboard.

    Some TV shows that I have already completely watched keep appearing in this section as if I need to start or continue them. I would like to clean up this menu so it only shows the series I am actually currently watching.

    Could you please explain how to fix this or how to properly hide/mark these shows as completed so they disappear from this specific list?

Detailed description with additional context about the workflow

  • For exemple you can see on 2 screenshots that the tv shows “Chernobyl” is already completely watched but stay in “Start Watching”

  • Same issue on website and on iphone app.

Hi,
Can you check if those shows are in your “Watchlist”?
Any items in your Watchlist that have already watched will show up at your Start Watching section, since the watchlist is only for items you still want to start watching or that you want to rewatch.
Removing them from the watchlist should resolve this issue.

That was it! Indeed, I keep shows I’ve already watched in my Watchlist so I can be notified when a new season comes out.

If I remove a show from my Watchlist, how will I be informed about a new season?

Hi,
Yes, when new episodes are released they will show up in your “continue watching”. You will also be able to see that show in your calendar. There is no need to keep it in your watchlist after you have already watched 1 episode.
