I have kodi running across several devices, shield, google streamer etc. All running fine for years, synching across devices.
I have now tried to add 2 different new devices, a laptop and a desktop and neither will download existing watched history from trakt.
I have been through everything, all the options regartding synching, removing libraries, readding. reauthorising on all the devices. No matter what I do it will not get historic data, only the very latest.
Is it my account? I have tried everything I can, many hours of frustration sorry. Not sure what else I can do. Anytime I hit update library or run in trakt it just very quickly checks but clearly its not getting all the data as there would be loads.
If I play on these new devices it scrobbles fine and the watched data appears on my trakt history.
Am I hitting a limit or something? why isn’t it getting the old data. I’ve even tried latest kodi builds, betas, killing all kodi data, starting on a new machine, none of them will get the old data?
The only odd thing I found in all this was one of the connected apps for kodi said it was an old beta one exdpired in March. I’ve removed all those and readded them tho since and its not there now
This should probably be on the kodi or kodi addons subreddit since that’s where the developers are.
As for the issue, Trakt made changes to the API (something to do with max page limits I think; the link is in some post here and you can Google search for the github).
There’s a Trakt addon for Kodi and there’s the Trakt functionality within addons. Any updates would be on the developers to address. If they are old/unsupported that were still working, you’re out of luck.
