The main Mafia Nights entry currently contains 21 seasons, which is not how the series is officially published. It even includes a Season 22 that does not actually exist.
The official publisher (Filimo) releases this franchise as four separate titles, not as one series with multiple seasons:
TMDb also follows this structure and has four separate TV shows for the franchise. However, IMDb lists them as a single series with multiple seasons, which appears to be the source of the inconsistency.
At the moment, Trakt contains a mix of both approaches:
one entry containing nearly the entire franchise,
another separate entry for Mafia Nights 3,
and season numbering that does not match the official releases.
Could a moderator please review this franchise and restructure it to match the official publisher’s release format? This would make the metadata consistent and avoid duplicate or misplaced seasons and episodes.
Trakt uses TMDB. Not the publisher, the network or anything else. Asking for them to match as you’re asking is most likely not going to happen. That said:
This is going to be a TMDB issue. They do not always keep things as IMDB does (e.g., American Idol). They also only allow the external ID to be used once (no duplication). Trakt moved from TVDB which is why some shows may have episodes but not consistent at this point.
If anything, and I don’t know if this is allowed, they could use TVDB, however, that would need to match what you’re asking. The other option is to open a ticket with IMDB to have them change/correct it.
Maybe an admin or a VIP has more insight into this.
TMDB has their rules (may help if you read them). If they have them split you can report it (they will probably respond they are following the network) or you go to IMDB and report it there. You could also try to create the new pages on IMDB but they may take it down.
Trakt may look at a workaround but that’s not TMDB. Again, please keep in mind these are separate sites, owners, and people so asking Trakt to do something on IMDB or TMDB isn’t correct.
The TV series Estrangement (غربت) currently has incorrect episodes listed on Trakt.
According to the official streaming platform, Namava, the series consists of only one season with 13 episodes. However, Trakt still lists Episodes 14, 15, and 16, which are incorrect.
The TMDb entry has already been corrected and the extra episodes have been removed. However, several days have passed and the changes have still not been reflected on Trakt.
Could someone please refresh or re-sync this title from TMDb and remove the incorrect Episodes 14, 15, and 16 from Trakt?

I’ve fixed the extra episodes of Mafia Nights, so season 22 should be removed after a refresh tomorrow.
As for “Estrangement”, that show is not refreshing because it didn’t have external IDs at TMDB. I’ve added one and it should refresh normally tomorrow.

There is still one issue with the show on Trakt: Season 22 itself has not been removed. The episodes have been removed, so when I open Season 22 there are no episodes, but Trakt still shows:
Season 22 progress 3 left
Because of this, even after I marked all the previous episodes as watched, the entire show is still shown as Started instead of being completed.
Could you please remove Season 22 itself from Trakt as well?
It might also be worth considering this behavior in the code: when all episodes of a season have been removed, and that season is the last season of a show, the empty season could perhaps be automatically removed as well. This would prevent orphaned/empty seasons from affecting a user’s progress.
Regarding Estrangement (غربت), I also noticed that there is a duplicate entry for this show on TMDb. I have already reported it there, but I am a little concerned about relying on the TMDb discussion/report process. I previously reported the duplicate The Innocent (بیگناه) entry as well and updated the report several times, but unfortunately it was never addressed.
Could you please check these two duplicate TMDb entries yourself, or otherwise help get the duplicate entries reviewed?

The extra season of Mafia Nights was also removed. We do remove empty seasons when they are removed at the datasoure, the page just needs a refresh after the changes are made(in this case, it needed a refresh after removing those episodes).
