The recent localization of the Trakt website has been a fantastic improvement. It has made the platform much more accessible and welcoming for users who prefer to use Trakt in their native language.
With the website localization now in place, it feels like a significant part of the groundwork has already been completed. Since the translations already exist and continue to be improved through Crowdin, extending them to the official iOS and Android apps appears to be a much more straightforward next step than starting from scratch.
Having the website localized while the mobile apps remain English-only creates an inconsistent experience across platforms, especially for users who primarily interact with Trakt on their phones.
Bringing the same localized interface to the mobile apps would provide a seamless experience across the web, iOS, and Android, allowing users to enjoy the same language regardless of which platform they use.
The progress made with the website has been excellent. It would be great to see the mobile apps follow in the near future.
@mike.d@Ohifriend Thanks for the update! I really appreciate the clarification. I’ll keep an eye on the GitHub issue and look forward to the iOS release. It’s great to hear that Arabic support is already planned—I’m excited to see it become available. Thanks again for keeping us informed!
@1JOKER I’ve attached some screenshots of the current implementation on that GitHub issue. The version will be available for VIP beta testers some time this week and in the App Store probably next week, but if you notice any specifics from the screenshots that are otherwise unexpected please let me know.
