Hi @Sonply- I’d like to bring up a loophole that is starting to be problematic going forward for wrestling PPV requiring IMDB-ID. This has already happened a few times.
Here’s the scenario:
TMDB users are creating the PPV entries in TMDB which is named correctly and tagged correctly with IMDB-IDs. But then after these PPV’s gets imported into Trakt, they rename the title to it’s respective post shows, then let it refresh in Trakt, then they remove the IMDB-ID.
I only know this because I’ve added these to my watchlist, then recently it got updated to reflect the post show.
Then they re-created new entries for the actual PPV.
I assume now, the actual PPV entries will have issues importing into trakt…
is there a workaround for this? seems like it’s a real mess. Now to make it worse, IMDB seems to have only one entry for WWE Wrestlemania 42 now, so I can’t update it in TMDB.
It seems like now, it’s more of a headache to be able to track my watching of wrestling PPV
Hi,
We currently don’t have a way to manually import movies without the IMDB ID, but we will add a way to import those pages based on cases like this, were the listing at TMDB and IMDB is different (having 2 pages at TMDB and 1 at IMDB).
I’ve removed the ID from the post show page at TMDB and added it to WWE WrestleMania 42 - Saturday. Since it now has the ID, it should import normally in a few hours. The second page will need to be imported when we create that alternative option.
i stop bothering using trakt for wrestling ppvs. it’s not worth arguing over anymore bc imdb id being populated in tmdb is forced now in order for it to be imported into trakt and that just isn’t going to change… i just add calendar item reminders in my calender now…
I don’t put value on the pre and post shows at all and don’t understand why folks do this. You either watch pre and/or post or you don’t. If you watch the main PLE it means you’ve seen them.
