I have a problem with Plex Sync/Plex Webhook. Plex Sync is correctly connected to my Plex server, the Webhook is correctly set in my server (and has been for many years), both says that their most recent sync/event was on 10 May 2026 17h31, and despite this I’m still missing watched episodes/movies for the last 7 days. I forced a sync yesterday and it didn’t import my watched episodes. I had to manually mark them watched.
I checked the PMS logs with “trakt” keyword but I only see requests with error codes 200, 424 and 415, so nothing out of the ordinary if I understood correctly.

Would that cause any problem? I guess trakt distinct events otherwise they would have added a warning to prevent users having duplicates. That would be a big source of issues/posts in the forum to deal with.
Not sure whether it causes specific problems (there were some staff posts about it a while back - by Kristin I believe - but can’t quickly find them in search), but I know when I made sure there were no duplications was when I started to see far less issues with the syncing. Mine still requires the occasional disconnecting and reconnecting of the account to try and keep things running but the errors are less.
And seeing as Plex Sync Beta seems to be an incredibly low priority item for Trakt I haven’t bothered to keep updating issues I discover in this thread as they remain largely ignored.
Also FWIW it’s definitely not something that’s only affecting a few limited people. Even Justin’s own Library (https://trakt.tv/users/justin/library) shows that he has items added to his Library on almost a daily basis without metadata. Something that is theoretically no longer possible.
I have mine set to use Plex Sync for Library and Watchlist, and the Webhook for Scrobble and Watched (I don’t care about syncing my ratings from/to Plex).
This seems to yield the best response for me in accuracy. Obviously YMMV.
