Am I blind or in new version of app is not possible to check what rating I gave for season of series? Also is it possible to rate season of series already?
Seems to be gone from the new layout. The overall season viewing UI experience is terrible, too.
Shame.
@CanePlayz season pages will be indeed phased out, our plan is to focus more on actual consume-able content. Season related features will most likely resurface (potentially) via the season cards in the show summaries.
Not good. It’s crucial feature for me ![]()
Phasing out season pages is a terrible idea imho. Especially for Anthology style series such as White Lotus, True Detective, True Sinner, etc. where it isn’t necessary to watch each season and reviews / ratings / info are critical.
Yeah, these features need to be brought back somehow
This one as been added to the backlog → it is currently on the “design” backlog… we need to figure out how to display and give the same experience as before without going into a specific page for each season (this is a constraint we want to keep for the time being).
@kcador What’s the reasoning behind not having season pages? I’m not so fussed about season ratings, but I do like to see synopses and runtimes per season when deciding what to watch next. Synposes are particularly important for me on shows such as Fargo where each season is a whole different story.
That is an excellent example. Thanks for your feedback!
We’d prefer to keep the useful information on the main show page and not have a specific page (with a specific layout) for seasons. Our goal here is to find a better UX mechanism than to display a full-screen page that would display only a subset of the information we can display on a show or episode or movie page.
Also: this is a low constraint, we are open to the idea of having a season page if we don’t find a better way to do it. It just that if we start by building a season page, there’s no easy “going back” compared to the more iterative approach.
American Horror Story is a good example on why having season pages is important, it’s an anthology series where each season is its own thing with a completely different setting, storyline and characters. This is something that can’t be condensed down into a synopsis of the whole show
