How do I reset my watched progress for a show in either the android app or on the website?

I am rewatching a show from the beginning. How do I reset my watched progress for that show? I can see on the website where to find “start rewatching”, which opens up a list of episodes, but then what? Can I only “start rewatching” when I want to log a play? I re-watched the first episode of a series last night, and I want to make that the start of my rewatch. Yet another thing that used to be simple made needlessly complicated smh

without starting a rewatch myself, once you mark a series as rewatching it will appear in your continue watching section again as you track your watches. so from the mobile apps you can check in as normal or should be able to log a new watch without being asked if you want to delete history. the list of episodes that you saw tells trakt where you want your rewatch to start for the continue watching to pick up from that episode
Sorry, I’m not following, firstly, there is no option to start rewatch on the app. when I click on “start rewatching” from the menu on desktop, it brings up a list of episodes. anytime I click on those, it just brings me to the episode page, it doesn’t start the rewatch. can I only set the show to “rewatch” if I am literally about to log a play of the show? I can’t use the episode I watched last night as the start of my rewatch?
that’s right you can only start a rewatch on the website. the list of episodes it’s showing you is asking you what episode you started the rewatch from. below I’d be able to start the rewatch from episode 3 by clicking on the check mark and it logs the play and starts the rewatch, then i’d be able to see the show in my continue watching section as i move through the series
Sorry, I can’t tell if you work for Trakt in some capacity (idk what MVP is), is the ability to mark a show as rewatching going to come to the apps at all? I thought the whole point was they want us using the app, why would that only be doable on the website? Thanks I guess, I hate it but at least now I know how to do it.

The rewatching feature is currently only in the “preview” section so VIPs can test. That means we do not believe the feature is fully ready, so some changes will still happen before removing it from that section. It should come to the apps after that happens.

mine also seems to keep changing, i set it to Guidance Counselor myself, then it got changed to Regular, now its back to MVP again which is where i wish it would stay
