Script to show Trakt links on MAL?

Anyone know a Violent/Tampermonkey script that opens a show from MAL on Trakt?

Thanks

If it helps, I installed @sp1ti old unsupported Tampermonkey script, and updated it with new URLs on line 33 and 59. See:

I got it to work just fine!

Iā€™m thinking he wants it the other way around where there are trakt links on MAL, not MAL links on trakt but I could be wrongā€¦

Iā€™ll throw my script up just in case either way

Oh right hahaha. I read the post and didnā€™t really look at the title. The title makes me read it like MAL ā†’ Trakt but the post the other way around haha.

Iā€™d be interested in Trakt links on MAL too though!

Itā€™d be easily possible to do with using the wikidata API to pull the trakt ID property but that would rely on wikidata having the trakt ID information available for said anime show/movie.

Though I guess you could probably set something up with the aniTrakt database to pull the information as well.

I might look into and see if I can make something this week, but I wonā€™t promise anything.

Yeah thatā€™s right, sorry if I wasnā€™t clear. I use MAL mainly for discovering anime as I like the seasonal pages, was wondering if there was a way to quickly open them up rather than having to translate it over for Trakt.

Thanks!

Decided to just go ahead and get it done and over with so enjoy! @lifeiscrazy @DipperDolphin

DO NOTE: There is no perfect API available, so some anime may lack a Trakt link because the corresponding linkage does not exist in the API. Currently, I am using GitHub - nattadasu/animeApi: A RESTful API for anime relation mapping and auto redirect service across multiple anime databases, which pulls data from several databases (including the aniTrakt database mentioned earlier). This is the best API I have been able to find at this time.

When the Trakt link does exist in the API, you can find it in the navigation menu on the anime page. See the example below:

Awesome thanks so much! Working well for the couple I tried - really appreciate it thanks so much

Thatā€™s amazing, thanks!

I got this as well, just a quick dumb question, is there any way to edit it to only add MAL links?

Thanks

Click that button there (itā€™s built into the trakt user dropdown menu) and itā€™ll bring up a window which you can choose to enable/disable links. @DipperDolphin

TO NOTE: on my External links on Trakt userscript, the way itā€™s setup right now for anime, is kind of buggy with the way things are as it relies on either wikidata information being available or going off of the TMDB ID / TVDB ID, which can sometimes link to the wrong page. Also the anime site links are currently disabled on season/episode pages as well due to this fact, so they will only show up on the main page for the anime show/movie.

I plan on looking into switching over to using the AnimeAPI like I am using for the MyAnimeList - Add Trakt link soon, but Iā€™ve been pretty busy so I havenā€™t really had a chance to sit down and look and see if Iā€™d even be able to.
