I found a post here a few days back as I too could not find the same show the OP mentioned “The Paradise”. Unfortunately, the post has since disappeared. I can still find the link on the web, but the page is gone.
This seems like a pretty serious issue when you can’t find something on the first page of results using the Exact title. I liked the post, but didn’t see any response about the issue.
So now I did a search for the movie “Tow”, and without adding a year to the search (2026), it ends up on the fifth page of results. Is this really the state of search, or is this an actual bug we can hope to see fixed? It’s certainly helpful when you know the year of the item you are looking for, but that’s not always the case.
Hi,
The original post was removed because the user’s account was banned, I’ll ask the team to take a look as to why that movie is not showing up on seach, and see if we can improve that. Thanks for reporting it.
I’m the OP on that - and yes, I reported on this issue quite awhile ago and the thread had numerous examples of the fuzzy search being not good. Unfortunately, that entire thread is now gone….
Hi,
Let’s please discuss the issue with the search not the thread that was deleted. We want to improve things in the website and issues in it. Discussing a deleted thread will not make things improve in the website or the apps.
The issue the user mentioned with “Tow” seems to be related to the title being so short. The developers have already been informed and will try to improve it. So it’s not the same issue.
What I ask is that, if anyone has issues with the search now, please say so we can try to improve it. Discussing a deleted thread doesn’t help us to improve.
