Hello everyone! Another 10y usage refuge from TVTime shutting down.
Just some quick questions:
TV Time had the possibility of your episodes showing on your personal calendar. You just had to subscribe to a calendar URL and that was it. I can’t seem to find how to do this here in Trakt. I found some information from 2024 stating that this was possible in the old layout ---------> which leads me to my next question:
Is it possible to revisit the old layout so I could do this?
This is not a built in feature of Trakt v3. However, there are some community projects that can build an iCal feed on top of the Trakt API. For example, I found https://github.com/AchiraNadeeshan/trakt-calendar-server (but I have not tested this so I can’t fully endorse it).
Thank you so much for the reply.
Unfortunately when following some steps of that community project I encounter some unavailable URL because I think they were targeting the old website.
I guess I will have to find a different service, as this is a very important feature for me.
So are you confirming iCal and RSS feeds were intentionally removed with no intention to add them back to V3?? I don’t see any implication here that this is a temporary setback planned to be rectified. I sent a message to support days ago asking about this and have gotten no response.
And no one thought it was appropriate to inform VIP users in advance that this feature was being removed??
It’s still listed as a feature in the VIP Features forum category, so unless you’re about to tell me this WILL be back, then this is false advertising:
This was one of the primary reasons I paid for VIP for years. I renewed not long ago even though what I’d seen of V3 was incredibly off-putting, but Trakt staff kept saying V2 features would get to V3 eventually, and I’d seen nothing saying certain features (including this one) would NOT make it in. I would not have renewed if it had been made clear that there would definitely NOT be feature parity and particularly that this specific feature would be removed.
