My feedback in the announcement thread got no response and still applies. I’m just gonna link to it again since it’s now in the “locked” zone: Introducing Trakt Lite - #13 by sp1ti
I saw similar comments in Introducing Trakt Lite - #19 by Akovia - also unaddressed
in what way is this ready to “launch”? and minimalist…
broken rating breakdowns, duplicate information (genre listed twice)… links to broken content (lists = Internal Error), not tested in dark & light mode.
who is this for? why is it getting different features from the main website?
from the announcement:
- We created an experience that adjusts as you watch, list, track, and rate content
– Huh? Is this a recommendation system? What will it affect? Should this already work on my existing profile? - New rating system
– So three buttons which translate to on trakt → heart = 10, dislike = 3, like = 7. so it’s just skewing ratings with this…
– It “interprets” existing ratings. something I rated a 6 is shown as a dislike…?! despite being closer the the “like”. another thing I rated a 7, which you assigned with a like is displayed as a heart… (but differently in the comment section)?
– It applies show ratings to episode ratings (showing a heart on something I did not rate)! - introducing a thumbs up/down rating system that enables users to quickly show their appreciation for content, helping Track identify which content to promote more
– Which is the rating system and nothing separate going by the above…?
why is it light when it is slower to load than the main page and completely drops pagination and loads everything always?
At it’s current iteration I hope it keeps being it’s separate thing but the aggressive marketing and invested resources imply otherwise. sorry if this is overtly negative but I’m disappointed in QC and seemingly fragmented direction trakt is in (lite devs, mobile devs, main site devs).
the announcement post also lies the blue from the heavens for no apparent reason…? I can compare the text vs what’s there and it’s just not true (recommendations, stream now, “diving into comments”)!
