There are no links to Trakt showing up on Google calendar events

Continuing the discussion from Movie not showing up on calander: There are no links to Trakt showing up on Google calendar events when using the ical feature.

Anyone know why this could be happening? It apparently works in apple calendar, just not google. Do I just have something setup wrong?

We use the standard iCal format like this, which just contains the URL attribute.

I can’t find any info about Google Calendar ignoring the URL. I also checked the feed and it validated correctly using iCalendar Validator.

I tried readding it to Google calendar and this is all that shows up…

It tested the url on the site you mentioned and it works so I guess it is on my end. I just don’t know what it could be.

Also it is not a browser issue as it does this in the calendar app on android as well.

I see the same thing when adding it to Google Calendar. Do you have an example .ics file that properly displays links?

I just checked in Google calendar when you add a normal event manually there is no box to add a url. I do have an .ics file but it is for my work so I just made a screenshot(addresses and personal info is in there), it appears that they just add it to the description…

Here it is in iCalendar Validator…

Does that help?

Yes, thank you. I need to do some more testing and see if I can simple remove the URL field and include in the description. Seems like that might be more universal. I don’t want to break Apple Calendar or anything else that depends on the URL field.
