Trakt account data unavailable- lost my progress

Short description of the issue

  • Unable to see my shows and movies when i logged in after some time

I’m facing an issue accessing my account data and would appreciate your help.

I’ve been using my Trakt account since around 2021, where I’ve tracked a significant number of shows, movies, and my viewing progress.

Recently, I switched from Android to iOS, and since then I’m unable to see any of my previous data. When I log in using Google, my account appears empty (no history or progress). I even tried it on an android device

However, I’ve verified through my email inbox that I’ve been receiving Trakt activity/history emails over the years, so I’m confident I’m using the correct email address.

Email that im sure of -deepanshumars@gmail.com

Username: luckymars (this shows after i login with the above email- but im sure of the email)

It seems like my data might be linked to a different login method or account instance. Could you please help me.

if you know the password used for the account you can try signing in using the following link:

https://trakt.tv/signin this lets you use the password instead of the magic email they’re defaulting to. if you created the account using the app or did something like the google signin then it might not work and @support would need to take a look

Already tried this , doesn’t work i see no data. I originally linked trakt with Showly app

i’m wondering then if showly created the account for you but support should be able to help once they get to it

Same issue as described here: I’ve used my account since 2018 by signing in with Google, but hadn’t logged in in a couple of years. This morning the Google button dropped me into a completely empty account with an auto-generated username and a “Welcome to Trakt” email, as if it were brand new. My original account might still be intact somewhere but I can’t reach it via the Google button anymore.

Has anyone recovered from this? Did @support re-link their original account, and what details did they need? I’ve also emailed support@trakt.tv. Any pointers appreciated as this history is important to me. Thanks :folded_hands:
