Hey there,
Googling a bunch I see that this problem has occurred a few times to a few different people in the last few years. I noticed last week that one of my Kodi installs were unable to sync my movie collection. It seemed still able to sync my TV shows, but not movies. So I figured it was just a corrupted database (this happens and I’m able to handle it when it happens). I tried restoring from a known working installation I have. I know it was working because I had just successfully synced it myself the afternoon before I tried fixing it. I took a backup of it and restored the addons, config db and eventually the entire installation over top of the non-working install. No dice. I reinstalled Kodi and let everything sync back in. Nothing.
I went back to my other install and re-tried syncing only to find that it didn’t work. By reading the logs, I was able to find that the API was rate limiting me because it was thinking that it was making over 1000 calls in 5 minutes whenever it tried to sync my library.
Is there something going on with the API and I should just be patient?
