Just a quick follow up here. There are several issues with Stremio:

  • The most pressing one has been fixed. The sign-in URL wasn’t correct.
  • The last one is harder to fix because it’s related to how Stremio works. There are official and community add-ons on Stremio. Also, all add-ons are “running” on Stremio servers. This means they are contacting the Trakt API directly from their server, not from apps/clients. This is breaking the rate limits and many of the security we have in place to protect our API and our user’s data.

We have contacted the Stremio team and proposed a solution. We are waiting for them to implement it.

In the meantime, if you have a problem with a Stremio add-on, please be specific on which add-on and the exact issue (use case and error code or logs). It may also be best to contact them directly.

I have been with Stremio since 23.12. It works for me.

Yea after the updates it’s working much better but I still see a little bug. When I play a video it doesn’t start scrobbling right away. I need to pause and resume the video to start scrobbling. I use stremio latest version + aiostreams addon basically.

That seems more like a bug for the Stremio or aiostreams team to look into.

I would recommend to contact them directly with this use case and workaround.
