It seems like you’re going to force this new redesign on us now since I cannot find any way to revert to the old layout, no matter how hard I tried. Given that, I figured I would highlight all the missing functionality or poor UX so that at least (hopefully) the new design becomes somewhat functional. This is purely because I do not have an easy alternative to switch, but I do have to say that this redesign is frustrating enough to really make me consider cancelling VIP for the first time in years.
Will add to this as I notice missing items. The below 3 are sort of non-negotiables for me though. If there is no way to do these things anymore, I would like to know so I can cancel VIP and find an alternative.
Lists – no intuitive way to reorder them? I tried dragging and dropping, but no luck. Sort By does not have a manual option either. Maybe this exists, but it certainly is not intuitive.
Lists – I can’t see my rating anymore, only the general rating. This is not helpful. I also can’t rate the movie directly from the list.
Shows – Previously, I was able to go to a show’s season page and add a comment/review there, rate the season itself, and add a season to a list. I see no way of doing this anymore. I can only open up a side drawer that is missing all the functionality at the season level. Season reviews, ratings, and lists were one of the few competitive advantages of Trakt, removing that is a huge mistake. Shows have varying quality by season, it is very helpful to be able to see ratings and reviews by season.
