TV shows appear in search but return 404

Hello,

I would like to report an issue with two TV shows that seem to be missing or incorrectly handled in Trakt.

Affected shows:

• Xeque Mate (2024-)
• The Stripper (2019–2020)

Previously, both shows appeared in Trakt search results, but opening their pages resulted in a 404 error (“404: Nothingness. The void.”).

Now, these shows no longer appear in Trakt search results at all.

Could you please check if these entries were removed accidentally, have broken metadata, or if there is an issue with their database records?

Thank you for your help.

I’m getting random missing movies and shows all over the place, where clicking on a search result leads to a blank page. In additio, a title search doesn’t return the movie I’m looking for, but when I search with the app TV Show Tracker, which connects to my Trakt account, it finds the movie using the same search (full title). So something’s definitely screwed up with their search or database or something.

Hi,
You can find the second show here now: Trakt Web: The Stripper
Both of those items were maked as “Adult” at TMDB, so our system hides them here. One of those is not marked as adult anymore, so I unhid it. Xeque Mate is still marked like that, so I cannot unhide it, unless that is changed at TMDB.

Hi,

Thank you for your explanation and for fixing The Stripper.

Regarding Xeque Mate, I understand that it is currently marked as “Adult” on TMDB. Could you please let me know what exactly needs to be changed on the TMDB entry so that it can be unhidden on Trakt?

I will check and update the information there if needed.

Thanks again for your help .

It’s actually mature so there’s nothing to change. The issue is while some episodes may not be an issue, others are. You can’t market single episodes as adult in TMDB, only the whole show. I confirmed by trying to view on youtube. A few episodes played with no issues, then I got to one where youtube needed me to log in for age verification.

In the U.S. many things that other countries don’t even give a second thought may be taboo.
