Hi!
So I’ve just read a few comments on a great TV episode I just watched and some user had the ending spoiled in an untagged comment. I’ve reported the comment, but it seems obvious to me now that there should be feature to report spoilers on other users’ comments.
This could automatically add a spoiler tag to the comment, and a message sent to the user for review? Maybe there’s a better way, but the idea would be the same - to avoid spoiling something to someone else.
if you’ve marked the episode as watched, i believe it doesn’t hide spoilers in comments but i’m probably wrong here. try getting to the old settings page and review your settings there, https://trakt.tv/settings#spoilers , theres a setting to blur comments which i’ve turned on for myself (the old site is VIP only but some pages still seem to work so its worth a shot to see if it loads for you).
Hi,
We do have a way to report comments in the website and one of the options you can choose as a reason is “spoilers”. Right now, all those reports are checked manually.
In case anyone doesn’t know how to report in the new website:
Just go to the comment and click in the 3 dots:
Thanks for the suggestion. My options were OK, but the user in question spoiled the ending of the series, not the episode itself - so it wouldn’t have changed a thing in this instance.
Thanks for the information! I overlooked the “Spoilers” option in the list. I did not see it as it was the first one, I think, and thought it was something like “Choose reason” and didn’t read it.
