Why did Trakt remove the full Trending discovery feed in v3?

In the new v3 UI of Trakt, the Trending page seems heavily limited compared to the old version. Previously, it felt like an live discovery feed showing what people were actively watching, including obscure or niche movies/shows with low viewer counts. That was one of the best ways to discover unique content outside the mainstream.

Now the page only shows a small curated set of items and loses that “organic discovery” feeling.

Is there any place in the new UI (or via filters/lists/API/alternative pages) where I can still access:

  • the older full trending/live movies/shows list

  • low-popularity but currently watched titles,

That discovery aspect was honestly one of the main reason I used Trakt.

For me, the Trending page seems to show the same items on v2 and v3:

Look at V2 page. that will show 2055 shows, in V3 it will be limited to quite a small number like 200 for example.

In v3, I can keep on scrolling to get more shows.

i was going to say this as well but it does cap out at some point, probably around 200 like they mentioned. But anything past 200th place isn’t really trending either right?

Hm interesting…I was able to get at least 60x6 items showing and was able to scroll even further

i didn’t count mine but it did eventually stop, probably from me scrolling too quickly

The API trakt trending endpoint appears to be seriously broken currently

Its only returning 109 entries?

V2 you could request 100’s

Additionally the watching endpoint is reporting very few entries, the v3 API appears to have shat the bed
