I’ve been asking for years via twitter for this. Thought I’d add it here too.

I’d like to see a top writers in the year in review to go along with Actors/Actresses and Directors.

This is great, one thing I have noticed is that it appears to only be counting writers if the TMDB credit is exactly “writer” and isn’t counting the other credits like screenplay, story, teleplay, etc. For example, on Joel Coen’s page it has me as having watched 22 of his 35 writing credits, but on the all-time stats page it is only counting 7 since those are the ones where he is listed as a “writer.” The Big Lebowski counts, but Fargo doesn’t.

Yep, the feature is great, but as it is now, the data it shows is just plain wrong. All writing credits should be included in this section - screenplay, story, characters, etc.

I support this, the writers section just shows the ones who have the word “writer” in the credits, would be great if you add also the other writing credits that are available in TMBD.

I pushed an update to count all writers. Your year in review will update the next time you watch something.
