Ability to set a ratings sort default in settings

Been using the site for years and adore it but something I’ve always vehemently hated is the ratings system. I think it’s terrible and a massive hole in an otherwise near-flawless site. As a user with a private account, I know I’m the only one regularly looking at my own profile, and the ratings tab is just abysmal for…well, seeing my ratings—with the “Rated Date” display being the main cause of this. It just irritates me to no end. If I could click on the ratings tab and be taken to a page with all of my ratings in a default that I could choose in the settings (whether it be alphabetical, premiere date, etc.) that would be amazing but unfortunately that isn’t available and the ratings tab default is just the date rated, which is, interface-wise, awful as the ratings page is broken up by those cumbersome dividers. They’re fine in the history tab because naturally I want to distinguish dates there like a log diary, but for ratings it is completely pointless.

In conclusion, please add more Ratings tab filters outside of “Rated Date” and “Rating” and add the ability to select a default for this tab in our settings.

You can disable those. I have them disabled and whenever I view my ratings I see them like continuously.

It’s one of those icons on top. The one right to the cogwheel.

I know this. Doesn’t change my main point that there should be more sorting options for ratings and the ability to set a default for them in a “Ratings” tab in our settings, like there are for “Profile”, “Progress”, “Dashboard”, etc.

Once you choose a specific media type (left drop down), you’ll get a lot more sorting options.

Yes, I know, but it doesn’t stay that way. I’d like to be able to mark a default in my settings so I don’t have to change the sorting EVERY TIME I click on the ratings tab. Not to mention the dividers, which if I click the toggle button, doesn’t stay selected between when I close the site and return to it later. The dividers and sorting buttons really should be options in the settings instead of just pointless toggles that don’t stay selected. It’s so frustrating and unnecessary.

Again, appreciate all the hard work put into the site and I don’t want to come across as aggressive or ungrateful for all the great stuff the site has. I just wish this particular issue would be rectified

It would be nice to have the history and ratings pages merged together. The only features that are exclusively in the ratings page are sort by rated date, sort by rating, and being able to select seasons as a type. Having those just incorporated into the history page would be much more intuitive and convenient in my opinion.

For unrated items in history page, those could just go to the bottom in a ratings sort. I can’t think of a solution for rated, but unviewed items, but folks shouldn’t be rating stuff they haven’t viewed yet anyways.

I disagree and think the ratings and history should still stay separate. It doesn’t really make sense for ratings to be in with history considering within this context, a rating would just be a regurgitation of what someone just watched. Watching a movie, rating it, and then both showing up next to each other in the history wouldn’t be intuitive imo

I think they mean combined. Not two entries. But like the rating is the little triangle on top of the poster. And for unrated items it just doesn’t appear. And when sorting by rating. Those entries appear at the bottom.

But fair point about separate items because what it you don’t rate right away. Then you have to skip the rated date filter otherwise you would need two entries because the watched date makes more sense to filter on.

Yeah, I meant one entry for each item (episode, show, season) because they things you can rate and the things you can watch are the same items and the rating and watched status are already on both pages (in the form of the upper right rating or the lower left checkmark).

The only info that is available on the ratings page that isn’t already on the history page is the rating date, which could easily be added. Everything else is sorts and filters of essentially the same items.
