Android TV Start Watching list not filtering out watched episodes

Short description of the issue

  • In the Android TV app the Start Watching list in Home includes already watched episodes

Detailed description with additional context about the workflow

  • Marking all episodes that have aired so far as watched (e.g. marking the season/show as watched) removes the show from the watch list, even if it’s a returning series. Then when re-adding to the watchlist (so it’s there for when new episodes are released) the already watched episodes appear in the “Start Watching” list on the Android TV list. I assume this a bug? Is there a way to filtered out watched episodes?

Hi,
The “Watchlist”, is a list where you should add items you still haven’t started watching. After you start them, they are removed from that list and added to your history. When new episodes or seasons release, the show will show up in your “Continue Watching” section. There is no need to keep them in your Watchlist.
