Just wondering if there was any chance on adding the ability to check into games. I know we can import movies and TV shows via “ID’s”. The same could done with games with TheGamesDB.net or RAWG.io. The community could add the games to the site and checkin, and discuss their favorite titles. I think it would be a huge addition to the site.
Yeah. This is my longest dream on this site. From the beginning I had an account here (before 2015, my first acc) I always wonder how cool it would be to tracking everything I do in entertainment on one site. Every gamer still missing the same treatment that movie/show lover have thanks to Trakt or IMDB: IGN is trying to make something, but their UI skill is so miserable, that it’s not even worth of mentioning. Like a Goodreads for book, we need ,Trakt" for games. And it even makes sense. Games starting to have a big relationship with movies/shows. We see the same actors in both mediums, composers and sometimes even directors (Druckman, Kojima…)
Community could also provide information about where the game is available. Similar to ,JustWatch", we can tell if this game is on GamePass, PS PLUS or just on Store.
People could track their ratings, progress through game (time could be get from ,HowLongToBeat") and we can use the same system from reset progress on SHOW, to start our next playthrough on that game, to have a stats about how many times we played it.
If is there any way how to atribute to make this sensational feature, I am available. Trakt needs games.

I would hope that would be integrated similar to ExoPhase.com (My Account on there: SamXavia's profile - Exophase.com so you can check an example of a profile).
Instead of having to manually check into every game (even know you could do that for certain games) more modern games on consoles and PC could just send a Time Played Update allowing for it to be easily updates and shown on Trakt. Really would love a feature like this and I hope we get one eventually. For now the team is working on Podcasting what is nice to see the project expand.

I would love the ability to check into games. Music would be another cool idea, if we could scrobble from our favorite music apps as well. And yeah for games if there was an automatic way to track sessions that would be even better, because most people don’t tend to plan a very specific amount of time, or track exactly how much time they spent.

Absolutely! Like if on music it tied to our Last.fm or something like that. Gaming would probably be manual, unless they can pull via achievements like many other sites like PSNProfiles, Infinite Backlog, etc. Would love to integrate everything with a site that I love and have supported for a long time.

There’s probably an automated way to do it if they create a playstation/xbox/nintendo/steam user. You’d just have to friend them and then they could track when you’re online. I think there are some services that do it this way. It would take some work to get a tracker like that set up, but it could work. But yeah, manual could work of course in the mean time.
