I’m not sure if this is currently possible, but I would like to request the feature to add a movie or tv show as collected more than once. This would be for the case where you’ve collected a movie in multiple formats such as digital and Blu-ray.
I could see this working like plays where you have multiple plays, but for your collection instead.
If this doesn’t already exist, I would like to cast my vote for its implementation.

I have been wanting something like this for a while as well. I was thinking that it could be just that you could select more than format when you add metadata.
That would also be a good solution, the only downside of this approach would be not having the multiple collected dates if you collected the different formats at different dates/times.
We’ve thought about it, but it’s a drastic change to how collection items are currently stored. I won’t say never, but it’s unfortunately low on the priority list.
We’d also need to be careful about duplicates being added. We run into that problem a lot with some apps syncing watched history over and over which creates a ton of duplicates and ultimately locks the person’s account.
Might I suggest then what perhaps has been brought up before, a note field in the metadata section? That way custom metadata could be added there.
Thanks Justin, I hope some solution will be implemented eventually as this would be a really nice feature to have for collections. Especially with many movies today being sold as a Blu-ray + Digital package.
One possible alternative is to allow multiple instances of metadata per collected title rather than multiple collections per title as I had originally suggested in my post.
Either way, keep up the great work! I love what your team has built.
