[feature] disable required format/resolution for library

This really feels like yet more unnecessary changes to library. What used to be automatic (via plugin in Kodi which is down broken) turned into 1 click to add to library, now is 4 clicks…..I mean come on…..this again makes the very useful library feature almost entirely useless. Why could you possibly need format and resolution to be a “required field”.

If I don’t care about the format or resolution, you shouldn’t either. Making this an optional addition seems fine, forcing it down our throats, seems absurd.

Feature Request:
Add an ability to make adding an item to library one click in settings like it has been for years…..please.

I realy don’t care for format or resolution. I mark episodes and movies as collected so be able to see if I still need to download them. If a default could be configured which could make adding items to a collection simpler, that would also be acceptable for me. I would then just select a random format and resolution.

if this stays, being able to set a default value for the 2 mandatory metadata fields would bring the “add to library” feature back to a 1 click action.

Update, it’s actually 6 clicks to add a single item now……please undo this or implement it as described by the replies (setting defaults that apply) with single click.

i asked support….

Hi, thanks for reaching out!
This was a necessary change due to the changes we are making on the Library.
You can read more about those changes here: :books: Update on Physical Library Handling - Announcements - Trakt Forums

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Then they should allow a default format to be entered……6 clicks, 6, for one entry. It’s absurd.

It’s quite annoying to have to set resolution, just to add a movie or a show to my library.
It makes no sense at all.

I think this issue will go away if we can have a pre set for this. One button to say this is what i collected in what format. Clicking so many buttons is basically inshitifying the system which imo it shouldn’t do.
