Filter Watchlist based on Streaming Services on Apple tvOS

Hey @Ohifriend,

I think it’s not possible on the Apple tvOS app to filter my watchlist by my favorite streaming services and it would be great if that would be possible.

This makes trakt for me completely useless, because my main purpose is that I want to turn on my Apple TV and see immediately which of my movies from my watchlist are available and start watching.

With the current situation of the Apple TV app I have to grab my iPhone (it’s normally by purpose away from me when I watch something), filter my watchlist by streaming services and than I have to manually search again on the trakt Apple TV app for that movie.

Suggested solution:

  • Make it possible to filter watchlist by favorite streaming services on the trakt Apple TV app
  • Make it possible to send a movie from the trakt iOS app to the trakt Apple TV app

Hopefully we’ll be looking to add sort/filter options to watchlist/lists soon.

As for this:

Do you have any examples of other apps that do this? I’m unsure if it’s possible at a system level (eg. I don’t think I can use the same system functionality that iOS to macOS continuity does)

Yes, the JustWatch app had this functionality, but I have found that it doesn’t work anymore.
